Succulent Chandelier

Yes, that's right. A while back we had this crazy idea, and were then crazy enough to do it... The photos pretty much tell the story. We had a custom chandelier armature built so that we could wire it up later. Without wiring, one might be able to use an existing chandelier as well.

A soil and moss substrate is wired in place with a mesh casing.

Succulent buds and mood moss are carefully affixed with either wire or, our secret weapon, hot melt glue!

With a little time and care, the buds establish root systems and the whole system holds together rather nicely!

Hi! I have been looking to make something exactly like this! How did you make the mesh casing of soil and moss? Any step-by-step directions for making this would be incredibly helpful. Thank you!
