Can you tell me if the Boston Ivy is destructive to structures? It looks beautiful; but I don't want to endanger my walls.

Hi Maybelline,

well, we've personally never seen the kind of damage that people often discuss with this and many (any) other vines. Just to be on the safe side, though, you could always go with a trellis...

Wonderful photos and design. Is that beautiful hibiscus able to thrive in Oregon (Willamette Valley)?

Thanks for your comment. You should be able to grow it there. It takes a while to get established and loves heat. If you want it to remain smaller, pinch it back. I love everything about it. Good luck and enjoy!
